Giant Pike French Alps

The Serre-Ponçon lake is known for its big, very large pikes.  On 10 June 2013, french anglerJerome Kaid caught the pike of his life: 1.28 m for 15,800 Kgs => 50 inch for 34 pounds
Then released the monster into the lake, after a well deserved victory shout . Kudos Jerome !

Lake Serre-Ponçon

between the Hautes-Alpes and Alpes-de-Haute-Provence, is a reservoir on the Durance. This is one of the largest artificial lakes in Europe, and its waters are rich in fish. Besides the pikes, you find there big lake trouts, Arctic chars and whitefish. Not to mention big carps. And the area is beautiful, tinged with both Provence and mountains.
